FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What different payment options do you provide?
Our office accepts cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cheque. As a service to our patients, our office will also bill directly to MOST dental plans.
Do you accept my insurance plan?
As a service to our patients, we bill directly to MOST insurance plans. Any copayment is the responsibility of the patient and is due at the time service is rendered. In this day and age, we know deciphering your insurance benefits can be confusing. We are happy to help you with insurance concerns and will fill out the necessary paperwork for you.
What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
If you have an emergency, please call our office number at (604) 241-0707 and follow the instructions. After hours, you will be able to leave a message for Dr. Sep, Dr. Ben or Dr. Melissa. They will always return your call as soon as possible. If the office is closed for holidays, we will leave you the number of another dentist who has agreed to see our patients on an emergency basis.
Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?
We understand that your schedule sometimes changes abruptly. Please call us immediately so we can reschedule you. If you cancel within 24 hours before your scheduled time, or do not show up to a scheduled appointment, we reserve the right to charge you a cancellation fee.
Do you accept referrals?
Yes. The greatest complement our patients can give is the referral of family and friends. To show our gratitude for referring new patients, we will send each person who has recommended us a token of our appreciation. Some examples include: coffee cards, movie passes, and gift certificates.
How do I know when it’s time to come in for a checkup?
We understand that our patients are busy people. When you become a patient in our practice, we will place you in our recall system. This means that you will get a reminder email one month before your cleaning is due. If you have not contacted us within one month or so of the email being sent, we will also give you a reminder phone call.
Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
We are pleased to announce that our clinic now accepts the CDCP federal dental insurance plan. Please note, however, that our fees remain consistent for all patients, regardless of insurance coverage, including the CDCP plan.
If you are a CDCP beneficiary, bring your CDCP card, eligibility letter, and photo ID to your appointment. While the plan provides significant assistance, it does not cover our entire fee, and you will be responsible for the difference between the CDCP reimbursement and our standard rates based on the British Columbia Fee Guide.
